So after a search-and-make-up-my-mind session going to three weeks, I finally got the mobile phone I was looking for. And has fate would have it, it’s none of the models I talked about in my last entry. Well, actually I did went to but Z530 but the shop owner said he don’t have Z530 but it’s newest sibling Z550.

Sony Ericsson z550.gifSo after a little deliberation and thinking about the cost [it's Rs 9200/- with tax] I finally decided to go in for it. It’s been just 2 days so I still haven’t unleashed it’s complete potential [will take a few days more]. But from the look of it, it’s very compact & quiet gorgeous and the build quality is simply amazing [far better than what I saw of Nokia]. Even call reception, despite of having internal antenna, is really good.

So I’m off to exploring my latest handset, will post updates as and when I’ll have them.

  2. hey i got a SE z530i myself and I was wonderin’ if the 500 has an “open phone” ringtone…that is, when you flip open the phone, it’ll chrip an mp3

  3. Yes Nidhi, keypad is very simple and that’s what I like.

Mike, it has a ringtone when you open the phone, but can’t set an mp3 for it. There are limited numbers of ringtones they have provided for that.

  4. nokia 6102 had veru simple keypad. it was my last phone, gave it to a friend because i upgraded to kyocera strobe, a candybar phone with a qwerty keypad to text. again, no bluetooth, but i don’t need it except for photos…
