2/3 days back, my better half made a [verbal] comment about my blog, “More than half of the entries on your blog goes above my head, they are too technical for me. But rest are good one and I really enjoy reading them. But these [so called enjoyable entries] too few”.
Okay … to tell you the truth, she had said this comment quiet a many times now, but never before with such seriousness. Earlier also she made same kind of comment for all my F1 related entries. As usual, I gave in and created another blog for F1 related entries. So now I am maintaining 2 blogs, one is this one and second is The F1 Blog.
I know many people maintain multiple blogs, each one [blog] for their different needs/subject/authority. But is it really easy to maintain multiple blogs ? Given my current professional workload scenario, I know it is going to increase in the future so would the time I’ll get to blog, so is it really worth segregating my current blog ? That’s the question I’ve been asking myself, but still haven’t came to any conclusion.
So do you maintain multiple blogs ? How many ? Do you really think it is worth the time & effort for doing so ? Most important, how do you find the time to update all of your blogs ?
Thanks in advance for your replies.
Quick Update: I have removed Blog-Shot since I’m not getting the time to work on it. But it will be back pretty soon.
Quick Update 2: Blog-Shot is back !!

I think if you go for the multiple blogs, it will become too hectic to manage along with the office work load.
You can enter your personal entries on this blog only whenever you feel like. Ppl like me and your better half who read your posts regularly will read the post which we can understand. Your other posts are very informative but yes do require lot of brain to understand.

You’re using blogging categories anyway; why not suggest that your better half skip any entries that are under “Technical”? That way you only need to maintain one blog.

I agree with Golfwidow. There really is no need for multiple blogs when categories are available.

I cant disagree with her, only I lacked guts to point out that to you lol
Personal chitchat add spices to blogs.
I tried to maintain multi-ple blog on WP. But as I wanted different author identity on different blogs, WP has confusing mechanism so I left the idea.
I believe , a blog is like your own personal room where freinds come and visit you and talk about evertyhing and everybody feel relaxed. So if I visit you and keep getting technolgical information etc., I may visit you with only purpose to get some information.
But if you add something interesting where I can particpate and enjoy I would come to your home more often.
So, I advise to keep business and home different and enjoy with friends at home.
You can keep sepreate information blog and give rss fees with 5-10 listing , so if anything interesting posted on your technical blog one can visit if wish to.
Further, if you are maintaining information blog, particularly , web technological blog, you are under soemwhat pressure to keep it updated more often.
On personal blog you can write anything interesting without afraid of outdated content and if sometime you feel not posting anything you dont post. And I may come knocking your door and ask “hi there , are you allright?’.
Hope, you may find my loooong advises useful.
Anyway thanks for asking for advise.

Thanks all for dropping in and writing down your thoughts.
@Nidhi, @goldwidow & @marie. That has always been the main reason behind using categories, one can read the posts in a perticuler category. And this is what I like the best about WP.
@JV: I very much agree with your thoughts [not that I dare disagree with my better half
]. The problem always comes down to “Time”, your advise is really good one. I will take a decision by this weekend.
@Sam, yup. I’m also trying to find out time to re-enable the Blog-shot.
