I’m back .. with Blog-Shot

It seems like an eternity since my last post !!

For the curious few, I was busy with an important project since 27.Feb and though I have made a few post in past 1 month [9 posts to be precise], I still felt something was missing in my day-to-day life [well, how much addictive blogging is other subject altogether so will cover it some other time]. Now, with 95% of project over I am again back in active duty.

It’s nice to be back.

Just 2 days before the start of my project, wordpress gave the gift of WordPress Widgets and then few days later, followed it up with two more widgets. The RSS widget & the Free Text widget. I got some time to make use of the RSS Widget, but I never got time to think over how I’m going to use the Free Text Widget.

So while plotting my Return Episode, a thought crossed my idea [yeah! It's one of those rare occasions] and I knew exactly how I was going to use my Free Text Widget.

Ladies & Gentlemen & All-Others, I present you “Blog-Shot” [Oh! you can't see it? Well, just use the scroll-bar and see it in action after last RSS feed].

“Blog-Shot” is nothing but just a screenshot of one of the blogs I link to and enjoy reading. Simple as that. But before I proceed, I’ll like to make a few points very clear:

  • NO, it is NOT a link-exchange program.
  • NO, it is NEITHER a “please link to my blog and I’ll link to your blog” program.
  • NO, it is NOT even “Rent my blog” program.
  • NO, there are NO scripts/hacks I am using, NEITHER wordpress.com have diverted from their “No Scripts” stance.
  • YES, I manually create screenshot and upload them.
  • NO, don’t make the effort of asking me to add your blog there, I won’t do it.
  • YES, I link only to blogs I enjoy reading the most.
  • NO, I am NOT advertising any blog.
  • YES, you can also do it for your wordpress.com blog, it’s as simple as BLINK.
  • NO, you won’t need any help in setting it up, you can do it yourself.
  • YES, if still you can’t do it, I’ll try to help [important: TRY].
  • NOOO!! I am not making any money out-of-it [though I wish I could].
  • YES, I’ll be updating the screenshot weekly [hopefully].
  • NO, I don’t rank the blogs I read, for me they all are equally good.

“Why did I do it ?” you’ll ask.

“Just for fun !!” is my answer. So enjoy the widgets and have fun :-) .
