This happened on Sunday evening, while I was waiting to get my bike back from quarterly servicing.

Him: Excuse me !
Me: Yes.
Him: Can you tell me the directions to building called SCN ?
Me: Well, even I don’t know. Gimme a min and I’ll ask it for you.

Then I went to my mechanic and asked him for the directions.

Me: Okay, the directions are pretty simple.
Him: Ok.
Me: Basically you have to take the left first.
Him: Okay.
Me: Then after going for another 100 meters you’ll see a crossroad, take the left again.
Him: <speechless>
Me: Then keep going on the road and wherever the road ends take the third left. The building you’ll see in the front is SCN building.
Him: Wait! Third left ??
Me: Yes, Third left ! In front is the first left, then at crossroad second left and where the road ends it’s third left !
Him: The “SCN” building is in “Thakur Complex” !!
Me: Yes this is “Thakur Complex” only !
Him: Hmm.. !
Me: Okay. Look you see the road in front ?
Him: Yes
Me: Take the left turn.
Him: Okay, I have to take left turn from there [pointing at the cross-road ahead].
Me: Yes. Then drive ahead for some 100 meters and you will come across a traffic signal. From that traffic signal take left turn.
Him: Okay, that’s 2 lefts.
Me: Right. Now keep on going straight and wherever the road ends, take the left turn.
Him: Got it ! So, this left, then another left turn from traffic signal & again left from where road ends !
Me: Exactly. After you take the last left turn, the building you see in front is the one you asked for.
Him: That’s great. Thanks a lot.
Me: You are Welcome !

Now, if by any chance [that is one in a Billion or Trillion or Gazillion] you come across this entry [that is the person whom I gave the directions], then I sincerely hope that you reached the place without any difficulty !!

Why am I writing this ?? Because when I went through the same road, around 30 minutes later, I realised there was no traffic light at the intersection where he had to take left [the second left] !!!!!
